An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan without having to use a physical SIM card. It's built into your device and can be programmed with different carrier profiles.
Most newer smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and many other devices. Check our compatibility page for a full list of supported devices.
The easiest way is to download our app - you'll receive a notification if your device isn't compatible. You can also check if your phone is carrier unlocked by going to Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock. If it shows 'No SIM Restrictions', your phone is unlocked and ready for eSIM.
We recommend installing your eSIM on the day of departure. This allows you to get connected immediately upon arrival at your destination. Make sure you have a stable internet connection during the activation process.
Consider your travel destination and data needs. For single country trips, a regional plan works best. For multi-country trips within a continent, choose a continental plan. For global travelers, our worldwide plans offer the best value and convenience.
eSIM is perfect for international travelers who want to avoid high roaming fees, business professionals who need reliable connectivity abroad, digital nomads who frequently change locations, and anyone who wants a backup data plan without carrying multiple SIM cards.

First, ensure your eSIM is set as the primary data line in your phone settings. Check that data roaming is enabled. Restart your device and wait a few minutes. If issues persist, try manually selecting a network operator. Make sure you're in a covered area for your plan.
Slow speeds can occur due to network congestion in busy areas, being far from cell towers, or reaching data speed limits on some plans. Try moving to a different location, restarting your device, or switching to a different network operator if available.
Ensure you have a stable WiFi or mobile data connection during activation. Check that you're scanning the correct QR code and that it hasn't been previously used. Restart your device and try again. If the issue persists, contact our support team with your order details.
Not all plans include voice calling - check if your plan supports calls & texts. Ensure your eSIM is set as the default voice line in settings. Verify that data roaming is enabled. Some regions may have carrier restrictions on voice services.
Check that mobile data is enabled for your eSIM line. Verify data roaming is turned on in your device settings. Make sure APN settings are configured correctly (our app usually sets these automatically). Try restarting your device or re-selecting the network manually.
